Each pair of gauntlet mittens is hand‑crafted to order using genuine fur and built for warmth, durability, and real winter conditions. These mittens feature a cozy sherpa lining and an extended gauntlet cuff that provides added forearm protection in cold and windy environments.
The natural insulating properties of fur help keep hands warm and dry, making these mittens ideal for hunters, trappers, and backcountry adventurers who value both function and craftsmanship.
The product photos shown feature beaver fur. A variety of other fur types may be used depending on availability and customer preference. Because natural pelts are used, color, texture, and pattern will vary. Each pair is truly one of a kind.
Materials & Fur Selection
This item is made to order using the fur type selected at checkout. Pricing reflects the number of pelts required for this specific pattern, current market value of the selected fur, and estimated sourcing and shipping costs.
Customers may also provide their own professionally soft‑tanned fur by selecting the “Customer Provided Fur” option.
Fur Guidelines for Customer‑Provided Materials
The following guidelines help ensure sufficient material for a full pair of gauntlet mittens:
Beaver typically requires 2 large pelts.
Coyote or otter typically requires 2 large pelts.
Raccoon, fox, or bobcat typically require 4 large pelts.
If you are unsure whether your fur is suitable or sufficient, please contact us prior to ordering. Final material requirements will be reviewed during the Custom Intake Agreement process.
Optional Upgrades
Leather loop and leather strapping upgrades are available separately.
If desired, please add the appropriate upgrade product to your cart along with your mittens.
Production Time
Most custom items require 6–8 weeks for production.
How Custom Orders Work
After checkout, you will receive a Custom Intake Agreement to finalize sizing, materials, add‑ons, and delivery or shipping details. Production begins only after the intake agreement has been completed and confirmed.
